It's hard to believe it's been a year since Bryce came out of rehab. Our trip to California was a whirlwind of reconnection and new beginnings.

Bryce Carter faced life-changing injuries in a 2023 cycling accident. Now, he's back on the start line, redefining what's possible and powering his way across the Karoo in South Africa at Nedbank Gravel Burn.

Being grateful and thankful for what we have been given and received from the Lord. The Americans have a whole day devoted to "Thanksgiving" although probably not in the spiritual sense.
In this next 10 days we move away from God and Jesus attributes and bring it more directly to you as you move forward.

Christ was secure. Secure in His purpose, in what He had to do. Bryce, draw your security from your relationship in Christ. I trust you grow in your faith and remain grounded in Him.
Flexibility. Jesus was flexible. Even knowing what He had to achieve He worked around people in His ministry.
Be purposeful as Christ was purposeful. He was fulfilling the will of His Father. Bryce, be purposeful in Christ. Draw your strength from Him and know He has a purpose for you. Trust Him in all yo
Jesus was prayerful. You and I should be prayerful in all we do. Jesus was often continuously in prayer even though He is the Trinity. It was his human form in which he dedicated so much prayer.
When I think of Jesus's perseverance I stand in awe. He knew what He had to do on the cross and nevertheless persevered. What an example for you and I.

Another attribute of Jesus: Fearless. How could he be fearful when He is God, but as a human he could have been fearful but wasn't. He trusted His Father and so should you and I.

Today we reflect on the characteristics Jesus displayed of Patience. He was very patient with his disciples as an example. It may be helpful to think about your change of circumstances and through

Morning Bryce. We reflect today on God's compassion. He is truly a compassionate God and has mercy on who he has mercy. All things are possible in Him.

We will now over the next 20 days or so reflect on God's character as a source of strength and support for you Bryce. May Christ continue to watch over you.

Theme is temptation. In tough times as men we tend to draw on our own strength. Know you are not alone and you can draw on Christ.

Praise and Glory. Seems appropriate on a Sunday to give Him the honour and glory He deserves. In our struggles we should be mindful of what Christ did for us on the cross.

In all things bring your prayers to Christ. Pray and Christ will reveal himself to you. Praying for you today Bryce. May Christ be our source and strength! Amen.

Bryce is well on his way to gaining the skills he will need. He has been home on the weekends for the last 5 weeks which has been great.

It's been 10 weeks since Bryce's accident. Today, he's wheeling himself about, out in the fresh air and adjusting to this new normal.

It is a special day today because 21 years ago we welcomed Bryce into the world. He has reported that the food at rehab is an improvement!

I've been accepted into Western Cape Rehab. I'll be leaving within the next two or so days. Thank you for all the prayers and support.

Bryce continues to astound with his amazing mental fortitude. He is now number 12 on the rehab waiting list, down from 76.

Life goes on as normal in the Carter Household. Matt started his new job, Mitchell returned to school, and Bryce continues his recovery.
An update from the youngest Carter. Bryce has been in high spirits and looking positive which has been good.
