Bryce's 21st Birthday

It is a special day today because 21 years ago we welcomed Bryce into the world. It has been such a privilege to be entrusted with shepherding such a precious and unique soul. Through the ups and downs that accompany the passage through the various stages of childhood and adolescence. Please wish him if you have not already.
Some news from the WCRC: Bryce has reported that the food is an improvement from GSH, but he has to now do a lot of things himself which is obviously a challenge and will bring with it the frustrations at first. Thank you to all those who have steadfastly prayed for his transfer. It certainly came faster than we were expecting.
We will start with remodelling the bathroom at home which will mean a bit of mess initially but will be a nice new bigger space. Thanks to Georgie who has helped so much to get all this organised. A few more additions like a ramp into the back garden and a new bay window seat in his bedroom which Pascal has kindly built for us.
Thank you to all those who gave to the Back-a-Buddy fund and to Bryce directly. It will help to fund the costs of these changes and any other comforts which will help make the path ahead a little less bumpy.
On the home front Rufus is showing signs of recovery from his paralysis which is great news. Mitchell is getting on with grade 11.
We look forward to having Bryce at home over the weekends. So many of you have put us in touch with some amazing people who have either helped in some way or have committed to be part of Bryce's life in the future. It really takes a village to raise a child and when things like this happen it becomes so evident how indispensable personal connection and community are.
Bryce is still on a bunch of meds and still experiences quite a bit of discomfort. Please pray that this starts to ease and disappear as he moves through the rehab process.
Please feel the warmth of our appreciation, your support in being part of this group does not go unnoticed.
